Who are we
JONATI Environmental Services CC is an environmental services company operating from the town of Middelburg situated in the power generation hub in the Mpumalanga Coalfields, South Africa.
We are a family business, owned and operated by Ian and Wendy Mey. The name of the company is derived from the first two letters of each of our son’s names; Joshua, Nathan and Timothy. We have acquired our expertise through >20 years of experience in large international mining companies operating in South Africa and have a sound understanding of water and environmental management requirements in the region. With this knowledge and expertise, we aim to support our clients to minimise and manage their environmental risks and liabilities, resulting out of potential legal noncompliance or undue physical harm to the environment. |

Our Speciality

As depicted in our logo, our unique areas of speciality lie in Bee Keeping and Water Management.
Ian is a beekeeper managing apiaries in the Mpumalanga Highveld Region. Expansions into the Lowveld areas are currently underway. Wendy has a passion for water management and has dedicated most of her working career to advancing the knowledge and expertise in the field of mine water management and treatment. She was involved in the planning and development of the eMalahleni Water Reclamation Plant and project managed the study phases for the Middelburg Water Reclamation Plant. |
